The three custom jackets he sent are practically identical to the various Balmain blazers that Kim owns, which retail from $2,500-$8,000.
North has already worn some of
her custom couture out on the town. In September, she sported Givenchy
to match her mother while attending the runway show at Paris Fashion
Week. Naturally, she sat front row
with her famous folks. Kim wore a sheer black lace jumpsuit while North
was clad in a sheer black lace top, black pants, and black sneakers
with white laces.
Last month, Kim told the London's Evening Standard she is going to instill in North the value of a hard-earned dollar.
"I saved up for this Dolce &
Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes
that my parents wouldn't buy me," she said. "And I remember they were
$400, and I had to save for the entire year to get them. We didn't get
anything [from our parents]… We had to get a job if we wanted it. So I
was working in a clothing store and I would save and save."
Kim insisted that North will
have to "work for what she wants," too. "I was saying that earlier to my
friends, 'I wonder what [North's] first job is gonna be.' And they were
like, ‘What? She's gonna have a job?' and I was like, ‘Are you kidding
me? Of course she is.'"
Guess North better start saving
up for her next Balmain jacket. Then again, when your parents have the
head of the fashion house on speed dial, we doubt she will have to open
her wallet too much.
