LEADER of the Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Ralph Uwazuruike yesterday urged Ndigbo to disregard any view or opinion of Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha regarding Biafra. Uwazuruike described Okorocha as a saboteur.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Onitsha, Anambra State and signed by the National Deputy Director for Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, Uwazurike said though Okorocha had the constitutional right to express his opinion or views on any matter, including that of MASSOB, he has no capacity to decide or determine what happens in the zone.
“Okorocha is aiding and abetting the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government in the continued marginalisation of the Igbo.”
Uwazuruike affirmed that his mission in life was to actualise Biafra as a sovereign, independent nation without violence, stressing that if he failed to get Biafra, he would have failed to do what was expected of him.
Meanwhile MASSOB in Anambra State handed down 48 hours to the military in the state to release five members allegedly arrested on Tuesday in various parts of the state.
Regional Administrator for Nnewi South Local Government Area, Tony Nwodo who announced this yesterday in Onitsha said: “We will shut down Anambra State if the five arrested members are not released within 48 hours.”
Nwodo said those arrested include MASSOB Utu Area Administrator, Eugene Odoh, Friday Nwoye, Sunday Amaechi, Chuma Okonkwo and Ebuka Okolo.
